Are we in the Days of Noah and Lot?

Flood, fire, and brimstone…

City on fire

And as it was in the days of Noah, so it will be also in the days of the Son of Man: They ate, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and the flood came and destroyed them all. Likewise as it was also in the days of Lot: They ate, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they built; but on the day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven and destroyed them all. Even so will it be in the day when the Son of Man is revealed. (Luke 17:26-30)

Former Swedish Prime Minister Carl Bildt has expressed concern that Putin plans to invade Crimea again, saying that Putin has a pattern of launching military operations when the world’s attention is focused on other matters, mainly during major sporting events. With the Olympics underway and the US presidential election campaign heating up, it seems that another invasion may only be days away.

Washington has strongly warned Israel against tearing down Palestinian village of Sussia in the West Bank, calling such a prospect “very troubling” following a US delegation visit. Earlier, the US dubbed Israel’s actions in the area “provocative and counterproductive.”

Speaking to the Jerusalem Post, an unnamed US diplomatic official said that for Israel going ahead with the decision would amount to “crossing of a red line” as it “would be to go against the whole international community.”

Is Full Blown War Ready To Break Out In South China Sea? / End Times Headlines, August 11, 2016

It appears that a full-scale War may be on the verge of breaking out in the South China Sea. This conclusion can easily be drawn when we see what is taking place in this region. Vietnam appears to have reportedly deployed rocket launchers to disputed territories within the South China Sea, well within range of Beijing’s land reclamation projects.

Sputnik Reports the Following:
At the heart of the South China Sea dispute is the Spratly archipelago, a series of islands and reefs claimed by China, Malaysia, Vietnam, Brunei, Taiwan, and the Philippines. Beijing has built a series of artificial islands in the archipelago, despite criticism from rival claimants that doing so puts their own security at risk. Then we have reports that China is installing Supersonic Missiles on South China Sea’s most lethal destroyer! This report comes as China threatens to aggressively defend the disputed territories.

Iran Is Ready To Attack Israel / The World Post, August 7, 2016

The tension between Israel and Iran appears to be heightening. Hossein Salami, deputy commander of Iran’s Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), recently said: “Hezbollah has 100,000 missiles that are ready to hit Israel to liberate the occupied Palestinian territories if the Zionist regime repeats its past mistakes.”

He added: “Today, the grounds for the annihilation and collapse of the Zionist regime are [present] more than ever.” Salami warned that if Israel made the “wrong move,” it would come under attack.

A few weeks ago, a senior adviser to the IRGC’s elite Quds Force, Ahmad Karimpour, said Iran could destroy Israel “in less than eight minutes” if Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei gave the order.

Putin encourages Iran to join Russia-led Eurasian alliance / RT, August 5, 2016

Russian President Vladimir Putin has praised the successful cooperation between Moscow and Tehran, and has expressed hope that a free trade zone can soon be established between Iran and the Russia-led Eurasian Economic Union.

“Iran is Russia’s longtime partner. We believe that bilateral relations will benefit from the reduction of tensions around Iran following the comprehensive agreement on the Iranian nuclear program,” Putin said in a major interview with Azerbaijani state news agency Azertac released on Friday. He added that Iranian leaders shared his approach.

He said that work has already started to research the possibility of such a move, adding that Russia would continue to support Iran’s pursuit of full membership in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization – the Eurasian military-political bloc comprised of Russia, China, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.

Nations are secretly and openly preparing for war. We must pray for forgiveness and for our land to be healed! It is time to wake up and get spiritually ready.

The Lord tells us:

If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land. (2 Chronicles 7:14)

Let’s break it down.

First God says, “If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves…” The Bible speaks in depth about humility and its opposite, pride. These are some key selections:

humble themselves

The humble He guides in justice,
And the humble He teaches His way.
(Psalm 25:9)

Do not lift up your horn on high;
Do not speak with a stiff neck.
For exaltation comes neither from the east
Nor from the west nor from the south.
But God is the Judge:
He puts down one,
And exalts another.
(Psalm 75:5-7)

Everyone proud in heart is an abomination to the LORD;
Though they join forces, none will go unpunished.
(Proverbs 16:5)

Pride goes before destruction,
And a haughty spirit before a fall.
Better to be of a humble spirit with the lowly,
Than to divide the spoil with the proud.
(Proverbs 16:18-19)

Let another man praise you, and not your own mouth;
A stranger, and not your own lips.
(Proverbs 27:2)

” Blessed are the poor in spirit,
For theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
(Matthew 5:3)

And whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted.
(Matthew 23:12)

Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself.
(Philippians 2:3)

pray and seek My face

Lord, I bring my requests before your throne, and…

I ask you, Father, in Jesus’ name:
Most assuredly, I say to you, whatever you ask the Father in My name He will give you. Until now you have asked nothing in My name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full.
(John 16:23-24)

I ask, believing that I have received the answer to my request:
Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.
(Mark 11:24)

I ask for things that please you:
Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him.
(1 John 5:14-15)

I ask while obeying your commands:
And whatever we ask we receive from Him, because we keep His commandments and do those things that are pleasing in His sight.
(1 John 3:22)

I ask that the Son may bring glory to the Father:
And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything in My name, I will do it.
(John 14:13-14)

I ask, while remaining in Jesus:
If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.
(John 15:7)

I ask, because you care for me:
Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.
(1 Peter 5:6-7)

I ask, because you will meet all my needs:
And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
(Philippians 4:19)

I ask, while confessing and repenting of my sin:
If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear.
(Psalm 66:18)

I ask, while forgiving all others who have sinned against me:
And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
(Matthew 6:12)

I ask, while offering a sacrifice of praise:
Therefore by Him let us continually offer the sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to His name.
(Hebrews 13:15)

turn from their wicked ways

LORD, who may abide in Your tabernacle?
Who may dwell in Your holy hill?
He who walks uprightly,
And works righteousness,
And speaks the truth in his heart;
He who does not backbite with his tongue,
Nor does evil to his neighbor,
Nor does he take up a reproach against his friend;
In whose eyes a vile person is despised,
But he honors those who fear the LORD;
He who swears to his own hurt and does not change;
He who does not put out his money at usury,
Nor does he take a bribe against the innocent.
He who does these things shall never be moved.
(Psalm 15:1-5)

Who may ascend into the hill of the LORD?
Or who may stand in His holy place?
He who has clean hands and a pure heart,
Who has not lifted up his soul to an idol,
Nor sworn deceitfully.
He shall receive blessing from the LORD,
And righteousness from the God of his salvation.
(Psalm 24:3-5)

“Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.
(Matthew 7:13-14)

“Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’
(Matthew 7:21-23)

But now you yourselves are to put off all these: anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy language out of your mouth. Do not lie to one another, since you have put off the old man with his deeds, and have put on the new man who is renewed in knowledge according to the image of Him who created him…
(Colossians 3:8-10)

Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy-meditate on these things. (Philippians 4:8)

Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world-the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life-is not of the Father but is of the world.
(1 John 2:15-16)

And so, putting it all together, we have:

If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.
(2 Chronicles 7:14)

Please pray for the people affected by the upcoming disasters, and prepare yourself for the imminent Rapture.

For anyone who pays attention to the news, there is no doubt that we are seeing major shifts in every area of our lives, which for the Christian means the increasing “birth pains” leading up to the Rapture.

Regardless of what you believe about these daily record-breaking disasters, there is a day when the Lord will be coming for His people in the not-too-distant future. God the Father’s sovereignty is over the timing of the Rapture. But the real question is, are you ready to be taken up?

The Lord loves you and he cares for you. If you are not a Christian, ask the Lord into your life right now. Turn from your sins and turn to God, because he is coming soon for his Bride. If you are a Christian, you need to present yourself to God by separating yourself from the world and leaving your will at the Cross. Make the choice to be a bondservant (or slave) to the Lord and acknowledge in everything his ownership and authority. In everything make the Lord first (Proverbs 3:6). Live every day as if it might be your last.

If you prepare yourself in this way, then you will be in a position to love and encourage all those around you to be ready no matter what day the Rapture happens. Exhort!  Encourage! You can pray like you never prayed before, for the world around you.  The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much (James 5:16). Teach by the example of your own life, and watch!
