“And there will be signs in the sun, in the moon, and in the stars; and on the earth distress of nations, with perplexity, the sea and the waves roaring; men’s hearts failing them from fear and the expectation of those things which are coming on the earth, for the powers of the heavens will be shaken. Then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. Now when these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near.” (Luke 21:25-28)
The number 40 generally symbolizes a period of testing, trial or probation.
The Jewish month of Elul is known as the month of repentance before the Jewish Fall Feasts.
From the first of Elul to Yom Kippur, the holiest day of the year, is 40 days.
In history, this is the same time Moses went back up the mountain to make atonement for the sin of the golden calf, coming down on Yom Kippur (Exodus 34:1-28)
Jesus was tested in the desert for the same time period, before beginning His ministry on Yom Kippur (Luke 4:16-21).
Along with all of the other signs pointing to the Rapture and end times this year, a dramatic one will be seen by millions of Americans. It is coming on August 21, 2017, and darkness will fall across the face of America. It is the Great American Eclipse.
It is the same “shadow of death” that happened on August 21st, 1914 when a total solar eclipse crossed over Eastern Europe shortly after the outbreak of World War I. Interestingly, it crossed over the site of ancient Nineveh in Mosul, Iraq.
Known as the “War to End All Wars,” — which, of course, it didn’t — World War I would introduce humanity to the horrors of modern warfare, including the introduction of armored tanks, aerial bombing and poison gas. And then there was the terror of trench warfare, with Allied and Central Powers slugging it out for years with little gain.
The first of Elul starts on August 21, 2017. This is the time of testing for America. From a Biblical perspective, we are the United States of Nineveh. The Lord is sickened by our Laodicean complacency.
Those called of God NOW are under probation, or judgment, based on how they live by every word of God.
Our goal has been to provide solid Biblical teachings, with a focus on End Time events. The result has been a world-wide ministry of sowing the Good News and winning the lost for Christ. Today we are lead to encourage Christians in the United States of America and throughout the world to pray for this nation.
Only through prayer will we survive in the difficult times ahead:
China calls for “restraint” after NKorea claims first successful ICBM test / DEBKAfile, July 4, 2017
North Korea claimed that it had successfully tested an intercontinental ballistic missile Tuesday for the first time, saying it could “reach anywhere in the world.” According to state media, the Hwasong-14 missile reached a height of 2,802 km and may have landed in Japan’s Exclusive Economic Zone. It was launched from Panghyon in the north to travel more than 930 km – according to the South Korean military, further than the May 14 missile launch, which experts said was its most successful ever, reaching a then-record altitude of around 2,100 kilometers. The Chinese foreign ministry put out an appeal to all parties to exercise “restraint.”
Kim Jong Un appears to have timed his latest missile test for US July 4 Independence day and ahead of the G20 summit later this week.
Military option for North Korea being prepared for Trump, McMaster says / Fox News, June 29, 2017
The Trump administration is considering a wider range of strategies on how to deal with North Korea, including the military option, Trump’s national security adviser said Wednesday.
“The threat is much more immediate now and so it’s clear that we can’t repeat the same approach – failed approach of the past,” H.R. McMaster, the adviser, said during a security conference with Homeland Security Chief John Kelly.
He said it would be insanity to continue to do the same thing the U.S. has done for years and expect a different result.
McMaster’s comments come a day before Trump is scheduled to meet with South Korean President Moon Jae-in. South Korea’s new leader vowed to stand firmly with Trump against North Korea, downplaying his past advocacy for a softer approach toward the isolated regime.
Ex-CIA Director Warns: ‘North Korea Could Kill 90 Percent of Americans’ / Observer, April 5, 2017
An EMP device is a low-yield H-bomb (one to 10 kilotons) that emits an unusually high amount of gamma rays; the resulting pulse of electromagnetic radiation would, it is said, disrupt the entire electric grid. It would take out not just television, telephones and the Internet, but electronics nationwide—disabling food and water supply chains, banking systems, fuel manufacturing and production, hospitals, 911 call centers, post-1970 vehicles (which rely on electronics) and everything else associated with modern life.
If that’s not enough to keep you awake, consider that a device with the characteristics of a “super-EMP weapon” is precisely what the North Koreans have been testing, Pry stated last year. In addition, Woolsey and Pry tell us, “Two North Korean satellites, the KMS-3 and KMS-4, presently orbit over the U.S. on trajectories consistent with surprise EMP attack.”
Not not long ago America was a beacon of hope to the world. To our shame, the United States of America embraced the globalist agenda over the fundamental Christian values that made us leader among nations.
Today our country is a hollow shell of the Founding Father’s vision. Divinely endowed natural rights for all citizens are now defined as arbitrary and subordinate to a contrived specter of an imaginary world community – governed by the few – so the many can serve those who set the rules.
America is one of the leaders of a One World Government, that is not in the future. It exists now, in the form of:
A one world government – The United Nations
A one world economy – The Group of 20
A one world religious umbrella – The United Religions
How far we have fallen from the vision that formed this country:.
But, it is not too late! Our nation has always turned to the Lord:
“O eternal and everlasting God, I presume to present myself this morning before thy Divine majesty, beseeching thee to accept of my humble and hearty thanks, that it hath pleased they great goodness to keep and preserve me the night past from all the dangers poor mortals are subject to, and has given me sweet and pleasant sleep, whereby I find my body refreshed and comforted for performing the duties of this day, in which I beseech thee to defend me from all perils of body and soul.
Direct my thoughts, words and work, and wash away my sins in the immaculate blood of the lamb, and purge my heart by thy holy spirit from the dross of my natural corruption, that I may with more freedom of mind and liberty of will serve thee, the everlasting God, in righteousness and holiness this day and all the days of my life.”
George Washington (1732-1799), from his prayer journal
The Scriptures are clear that civil government is an institution and process that God the Creator has given to mankind. The Constitution provides “We the People” with a representative body of government. Where are the people called to intercede on behalf of their neighbors, especially those in authority?
Please join us in prayer so that God can bless America!
Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. (1 Timothy 2:1-4)
Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD; and the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance. (Psalm 33:12)
Join us, before it is too late:
And as it was in the days of Noah, so it will be also in the days of the Son of Man: They ate, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and the flood came and destroyed them all. Likewise as it was also in the days of Lot: They ate, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they built; but on the day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven and destroyed them all. Even so will it be in the day when the Son of Man is revealed. (Luke 17:26-30)
Nations are secretly and openly preparing for war. We must pray for forgiveness and for our land to be healed! It is time to wake up and get spiritually ready.
The Lord tells us:
If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land. (2 Chronicles 7:14)
Join us in praying for this country, and for a great harvest of souls. As “watchmen on the wall,” we believe that the time before the Rapture and the Tribulation is very short, and these 40 days are critical.
Rapture and End Times invite you to take part in our August 21: 40 Days for America prayer for the United States. We will focus our daily prayer on national repentance and revival, and on individual transformation, starting on the day of the Great American Eclipse. The national prayer will end on Yom Kippur, September 29.
Because of our God’s merciful compassion,
the Dawn from on high will visit us
to shine on those who live in darkness
and the shadow of death,
to guide our feet into the way of peace. (Luke 1:78-79)
One thought on “40 Days for America”
Reblogged this on Theophilus Books and commented:
I woke up today with an urgency to “gather manna” that I have not felt since the Revelation 12 sign first entered into my consciousness.
I have been a Rev 12 sign/Sept 23rd pretrib rapture proponent and have not considered an independent prophetic significance until this morning. Very much like the Jews were told to gather manna for two days on Friday, since manna would not be available on gather on the Sabbath, so I feel I must prepare for a short while. Only later this morning, when calculated 40 days (40 years in the wilderness – a time of testing) from August 21st did I realize the significance of a possible rapture on Sept 29th, which is Yom Kippur, when we go into the promised land.
Dear brethren, I am no prophet, nor a visionary, but early this morning, there was a sense for me to gather manna during a short period of testing. It’s not prepping because I have not felt the need to prep, but it is a gathering of manna for a bit until we reach the promised land, which is soon.
I pray if this helps one person and harms no-one, that I continue to try and be obedient to Ezekiel 33:6. Pray, repent, fast, and gather your manna!
