Now on that day, the day when Gog comes against the land of Israel”—this is the declaration of the Lord God—“My wrath will flare up. I swear in My zeal and fiery rage: On that day there will be a great earthquake in the land of Israel. The fish of the sea, the birds of the sky, the animals of the field, every creature that crawls on the ground, and every human being on the face of the earth will tremble before Me. The mountains will be thrown down, the cliffs will collapse, and every wall will fall to the ground. (Ezekiel 38:17-20)

“As for you, son of man, prophesy against Gog and say: This is what the Lord God says: Look, I am against you, Gog, chief prince of Meshech and Tubal. I will turn you around, drive you on, and lead you up from the remotest parts of the north. I will bring you against the mountains of Israel. Then I will knock your bow from your left hand and make your arrows drop from your right hand. You, all your troops, and the peoples who are with you will fall on the mountains of Israel. (Ezekiel 39:1-4)

One of the critical signs are pointing to the imminent Rapture of the Church is the invasion of Israel. This invasion was foretold in Psalm 83 and Ezekiel 38. There will be an escalation between Iran and Israel, that will reach the point of no return. One of the major turning points in the battle will be a megaquake that causes the invading armies to “fall on the mountains of Israel.”

Megathrust earthquake are the world’s largest earthquakes. The last Cascadia earthquake is estimated at magnitude 9. A megathrust earthquake in Chile in 1960 was magnitude 9.5, and one in Alaska in 1964 was magnitude 9.2. The 2011 tsunami that devastated Japan was caused by a magnitude 9.0–9.1 undersea megathrust earthquake.

Could there be an earthquake that shakes “every human being on the face of the earth”?

It is theoretically possible that the world could see a quake with a magnitude of around 10, a researcher at Tohoku University told the government’s Coordinating Committee for Earthquake Prediction, Japan.

The energy of such an earthquake would be 30 times greater than the magnitude 9.0 quake that hit the northeast on March 11, 2011.

No magnitude 10 earthquake has ever been observed. The most powerful quake ever recorded was a magnitude 9.5 temblor in Chile in 1960.

A magnitude 10 quake would likely cause ground motions for up to an hour, with tsunami hitting while the shaking was still going on, according to the research.

God has used earthquakes in the past to denote important events.

The year-long, global Flood in the days of Noah was the greatest sedimentary and tectonic event in the history of our planet since creation:

In the six hundredth year of Noah’s life, in the second month, on the seventeenth day of the month, on that day all the sources of the watery depths burst open, the floodgates of the sky were opened, and the rain fell on the earth 40 days and 40 nights. (Genesis 7:11)

One of the primary physical causes of this great judgment was the “fountains of the great deep,” all of which were “broken up” on a single day. The verb for “broken up” (Hebrew baqa) means to split or cleave and indicates the faulting process. The enormous upheaval (probably associated with faulting of seafloor springs) unleashed a year-long global flood. God’s purpose was to begin the human race again from the family of Noah.

There were quakes during Christ’s crucifixion, and saints were raised from the dead:

Jesus shouted again with a loud voice and gave up His spirit. Suddenly, the curtain of the sanctuary was split in two from top to bottom; the earth quaked and the rocks were split. The tombs were also opened and many bodies of the saints who had fallen asleep were raised. And they came out of the tombs after His resurrection, entered the holy city, and appeared to many.

When the centurion and those with him, who were guarding Jesus, saw the earthquake and the things that had happened, they were terrified and said, “This man really was God’s Son!” (Matthew 27:50-54)

A quake heralded Christ’s resurrection:

After the Sabbath, as the first day of the week was dawning, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to view the tomb. Suddenly there was a violent earthquake, because an angel of the Lord descended from heaven and approached the tomb. He rolled back the stone and was sitting on it. His appearance was like lightning, and his robe was as white as snow. The guards were so shaken from fear of him that they became like dead men.

But the angel told the women, “Don’t be afraid, because I know you are looking for Jesus who was crucified. He is not here! For He has been resurrected, just as He said. (Matthew 28:1-6)

An earthquake also broke prison doors down for Paul and led to the conversion of the prison keeper:

About midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the prisoners were listening to them. Suddenly there was such a violent earthquake that the foundations of the jail were shaken, and immediately all the doors were opened, and everyone’s chains came loose. (Acts 16:25-26).

The Lord’s judgement of Gog’s invasion of Israel will include an earthquake so huge that “mountains will be thrown down, the cliffs will collapse, and every wall will fall to the ground.”

But perhaps the greatest earthquake of all time — a planet-wide shaking event, will be the disappearance of millions of people.

Where have the godly and faithful people vanished and disappeared to?

If you have been following our messages, you know that we show that the Rapture “window of time” is closing rapidly. We know this because the Lord gave Christians very specific signs to look for. He used everyday examples like birth to give us understanding of spiritual events. The birthing example in Revelation 12 can help us to understand what is happening right now:

Now a great sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet,and on her head a garland of twelve stars. Then being with child, she cried out in labor and in pain to give birth… She bore a male Child who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron. And her Child was caught up to God and His throne. (Revelation 12:1-2,5)

The woman clothed with the sun represents the visible, true church of Christ just as the scarlet-clad woman represents Satan’s church in Revelation 17. Likewise, because there are numerous born-again Christians within the church before the Rapture, the woman is said to be clothed with sunlight, the garment of righteousness and evidence of the indwelling Holy Spirit. (“You are the light of the world.”)

The labor and pain of birth represents the Rapture:

About the times and the seasons: Brothers, you do not need anything to be written to you. For you yourselves know very well that the Day of the Lord will come just like a thief in the night.

When they say, “Peace and security,” then sudden destruction comes on them, like labor pains come on a pregnant woman, and they will not escape.

But you, brothers, are not in the dark, for this day to overtake you like a thief. For you are all sons of light and sons of the day. We do not belong to the night or the darkness. So then, we must not sleep, like the rest, but we must stay awake and be serious. For those who sleep, sleep at night, and those who get drunk are drunk at night. But since we belong to the day, we must be serious and put the armor of faith and love on our chests, and put on a helmet of the hope of salvation. For God did not appoint us to wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, who died for us, so that whether we are awake or asleep, we will live together with Him. Therefore encourage one another and build each other up as you are already doing. (1 Thessalonians 5:1-11)

When this worldwide Rapture happens, it will bring a level of shock we can’t comprehend. People from every segment of society will simply vanish, leaving behind spouses, children, neighbors, and co-workers.  What happens when millions are gone in an instant?

 

It is highly likely that countries with a high loss of population will simply collapse. The effects to the morale of those who are left behind may just be too much.

Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei on Wednesday denounced as “satanic” a US plan for solving the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and predicted that Muslim nations will undoubtedly prevent the proposal from being put into practice.

US President Donald Trump unveiled his long-awaited peace plan at the White House on Tuesday.

“To the dismay of US politicians, the satanic, evil US policy about Palestine — the so-called Deal Of The Century— will never bear fruit, by the grace of God,” Khamenei wrote on his official Twitter account.

“About the Jewishization of al-Quds and saying it should be in the hands of the Jews, they’re talking foolishly and unwisely,” he said, using an Arabic name for Jerusalem.

“The issue of Palestine will never be forgotten,” Khameini continued. “The Palestinian nation and all Muslim nations will definitely stand up to them and not allow the so-called Deal Of The Century to be realized.”

 

Erdogan says Trump’s Mideast peace plan ‘absolutely unacceptable’ / Israel National News, January 29, 2020

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan lambasted a Middle East plan unveiled by US counterpart Donald Trump as “absolutely unacceptable” in comments published Wednesday.

“Jerusalem is sacred for Muslims. The plan to give Jerusalem to Israel is absolutely unacceptable. This plan ignores Palestinians’ rights and is aimed at legitimizing Israel’s occupation,” Erdogan said, quoted by CNN Turk broadcaster.

“The plan outlined will not serve peace or bring about a solution,” he added.

 

Backing Abbas, Arab League unanimously rejects Trump’s Middle East peace plan / The Times of Israel, February 1, 2020

The Arab League on Saturday unanimously rejected US President Donald Trump’s controversial Middle East plan, calling it “unfair” to Palestinians.

The pan-Arab bloc said in a statement that it “rejects the US-Israeli ‘deal of the century’ considering that it does not meet the minimum rights and aspirations of Palestinian people.”

Arab leaders also vowed “not to… cooperate with the US administration to implement this plan.”

One of the critical signs are pointing to the imminent Rapture of the Church is the invasion of Israel.

There will be an escalation between Iran and Israel, that will reach the point of no return.

But, to fall under the judgement of the Lord is a terrible fate. For Russian, Iran, and her allies, it will be too late:

The mountains will be thrown down, the cliffs will collapse, and every wall will fall to the ground. I will call for a sword against him on all My mountains”—the declaration of the Lord God—“and every man’s sword will be against his brother. I will execute judgment on him with plague and bloodshed. I will pour out torrential rain, hailstones, fire, and brimstone on him, as well as his troops and the many peoples who are with him. (Ezekiel 38: 17-22)

and always be concerned about Your statutes.
You reject all who stray from Your statutes,

You remove all the wicked on earth
as if they were dross;
therefore, I love Your decrees.
I tremble in awe of You;
I fear Your judgments. (Psalm 119:114-120)
