The Turnaround: Right and Left Behind

turning-point-ani

Now to Him who is able to protect you from stumbling and to make you stand in the presence of His glory, blameless and with great joy, to the only God our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, power, and authority before all time, now and forever. Amen. (Jude 24-25)

Turning points are happening all the time! The world news is full of dramatic changes in fortune for the better. These are just a few recent examples:

EXCLUSIVE: House Republicans Introduce Legislation To Defund World Economic Forum The Daily Caller, January 19, 2024

Defund World Economic Forum

A group of House Republicans, led by Pennsylvania Rep. Scott Perry, introduced legislation Thursday to defund the World Economic Forum (WEF).

The Daily Caller first obtained a copy of the bill, which is titled the Defund Davos Act. The legislation would specifically block the State Department, USAID, and any other federal agency from providing funding to the (WEF). The U.S. has spent millions on the WEF over the years, something Perry and other GOP lawmakers say needs to end.

“Forcing American Taxpayers to fund annual ski trips for insular, global elitists is absurd – not to mention reprehensible,” Perry told the Caller before introducing the bill. “The World Economic Forum doesn’t deserve one cent of American funding, and it’s past time we defund Davos.”

“The wealthy WEF globalists should not receive Americans’ hard-earned tax dollars,” Wisconsin Rep. Tom Tiffany, an original cosponsor of the legislation, said in a statement. “The Defund Davos Act would ensure that U.S. tax dollars are not funding the World Economic Forum and their reset on our way of life. I thank Congressman Perry for leading this important effort.”

Perry was also joined by Arizona Rep. Paul Gosar, Tennessee Rep. Diana Harshbarger, Tennessee Rep. Andy Ogles, and Montana Rep. Matt Rosendale as cosponsors.

Heritage Foundation President Kevin Roberts directly called out the attendees at his WEF panel Thursday, arguing that future Republican administrations would need to outright reject all policies that are cooked up at Davos.

“The very reason I’m here at Davos, is to explain to many people in this room and who are watching, with all due respect – nothing personal – that you are part of the problem,” Roberts explained. “Political elites tell the average people … that the reality is ‘x,’ when in fact, reality is ‘y.’”

‘It’s a Great Day!’: Michigan Coach Jim Harbaugh Delivers Speech at March for Life in D.C. Breitbart, January 19, 2024

On the tail of winning college football’s national championship, Wolverines coach Jim Harbaugh stopped by the 2024 March for Life in Washington, D.C., Friday to deliver a short address to the thousands of marchers.

The 2024 college football champion coach, who is openly pro-life, joked that the snowy day was “great football weather.”

“Thank you all for being here. It’s a great example that you’re setting,” he told the crowd when he came up to the stage to introduce Benjamin Watson.

“It’s testimony for the sanctity of life. It’s a great day for a march! It’s a great day — this is football weather! Let’s go!” he said to cheer from the crowd.

He also told the Daily Caller that the right to life is one of the most important rights of all.

“You know, we all talk about human rights. There’s really no rights that are important unless you have the right to life,” he said from the podium, according to Fox News. “This is a great day for a march. It’s a great day for the sanctity of life, and [it is] football weather. Let’s make it a great day.”

It was the first time the 60-year-old coach spoke at the March for Life.

Harbaugh has been talking about his pro-life position for years. Such as back in 2020 when he blasted liberals who were wringing hands about saving lives by defeating the coronavirus even as they supported killing babies in the womb.

“You see people taking more of a view of the sanctity of life,” Harbaugh said of efforts to protect people as the pandemic began. “And I hope that can continue. I hope that continues and not just in this time of crisis or pandemic.” But he added, “We talk about the sanctity of life, yet we live in a society that aborts babies. There can’t be anything more horrendous.”

In 2022, he doubled down on his pro-life stance, saying, “I believe in having the courage to let the unborn be born. I love life. I believe in having a loving care and respect for life and death. My faith and my science are what drive these beliefs in me.”

RNC supports Trump in 14th Amendment case at the Supreme Court POLITICO, 01/05/2024

trump-POLITICO

The national Republican Party and the top House GOP campaign committee filed an amicus brief with the Supreme Court on Friday supporting Donald Trump’s efforts to remain on the 2024 ballot.

The Republican National Committee and the National Republican Congressional Committee said in a joint filing that a recent Colorado Supreme Court decision to remove the former president from presidential primary ballots was undemocratic.

“This case arises from an historically unprecedented attempt to remove a presidential candidate from the ballot,” attorneys for the committees argued in the brief. “But the Colorado Supreme Court was the first to take the bait. It should have taken the other path.”

The brief stated that the rulings would ultimately lead to “chaos” not limited to a single candidate or election. “Once state courts begin purging candidates from the ballot, political opponents will begin picking each other off, harming confidence in our electoral processes.” In support of their argument, they cited attempts by Republicans in Texas and other states to boot President Joe Biden from the presidential ticket over immigration.

The brief supports Trump’s appeal of Colorado’s 4-3 ruling that the former president is disqualified from running for president. The Colorado court found his involvement in the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol, which it said qualified as an insurrection, made him ineligible under Section 3 of the 14th Amendment and barred him from a second term as president.

“Liberal judges and bureaucrats do not outweigh the voice of the voters,” said RNC Chair Ronna McDaniel in a statement. “The effort to remove Donald Trump from the presidential ballot is an attack on our electoral system and we will not rest until this election interference is stopped.”

The National Republican Senatorial Committee also filed an amicus brief supporting Trump with the Supreme Court earlier this week.

The briefs demonstrate the extent to which Republicans are using the decisions to bar the GOP frontrunner from the ballot to drum up political support over Trump’s numerous legal problems. Republicans have sought to use the rulings to cast Democrats as being anti-democratic.

Colorado’s ruling is “election interference thinly veiled as a legal decision,” said NRCC Chair Richard Hudson (R-N.C.) in a statement. He concluded that “the people decide their president — not anyone else.”

Throughout history, there were many turning points that seemed impossible at the time:

The Turning Point in the Christian conservative movement

reagan quote

The Reagan Revolution: Ronald Reagan’s election as President in 1980 marked a turning point in the Republican Party, as his policies and leadership greatly influenced the party’s direction and ideology. His presidency was marked by the implementation of conservative policies such as tax cuts, deregulation and an anti-Communist foreign policy.

.

Tea-Party-movement-forms-federation

The rise of the Tea Party movement: The Tea Party movement, which emerged in the early 2000s, marked a turning point in the Republican Party as it pushed for a more libertarian and populist agenda. This movement had a significant impact on the party’s direction, especially on issues such as taxes and government spending.

.

The Trump Presidency

The Trump Presidency: The election of Donald Trump as President in 2016 marked a turning point in the Republican Party, as his populist and nationalist policies and rhetoric represented a departure from traditional Republican ideology. Trump’s Presidency also represented a challenge to traditional political norms.

.

The Turning Point in Israel

Moses-overlooking-the-promised-land

The Israelites’ entry into the Land of Israel: The Israelites led by Moses and Joshua, left Egypt and entered the land of Israel in the late 13th century BC.

.

The United Monarchy

The United Monarchy: During the 10th century BC, King David united the tribes of Israel under one monarchy. This marked a turning point in Israel’s history as it established the Israelites as a major regional power and laid the foundation for the Israelite state.

.

The Babylonian Exile

The Babylonian Exile: In the early 6th century BC, the Babylonians conquered the southern kingdom of Judah and exiled many of its inhabitants. This marked a turning point in Israel’s history, as the exile marked the end of the Jewish state and a period of significant cultural, religious and demographic changes for the Jewish people. It also contributed to the formation of the Second Temple period and the emergence of the Jewish diaspora.

.

The Declaration of the State of Israel

1948: The Declaration of the State of Israel. This marked the first time in almost 2,000 years that the Jewish people had a home land of their own.

.

Normalization between Israel

2021: Normalization between Israel, UAE, Bahrain, Sudan, Morocco and others. This is a turning point for the Arab-Israeli relation, as several Arab states have begun to establish official diplomatic relations with Israel, marking a significant shift in the region’s political landscape.

.

The Turning Point in the Church

Many Christians speak of a “Damascus road experience” where they go through a dramatic conversion to Christ, but the conversion from Saul to Paul was the original. Paul describes it in detail, in his legal defense before King Agrippa:

Pauls Defense before Agrippa

“I was traveling to Damascus under these circumstances with authority and a commission from the chief priests. King Agrippa, while on the road at midday, I saw a light from heaven brighter than the sun, shining around me and those traveling with me. We all fell to the ground, and I heard a voice speaking to me in the Hebrew language, ‘Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting Me? It is hard for you to kick against the goads.’

“Then I said, ‘Who are You, Lord?’

I am Jesus

“And the Lord replied: ‘I am Jesus, the One you are persecuting. But get up and stand on your feet. For I have appeared to you for this purpose, to appoint you as a servant and a witness of what you have seen and of what I will reveal to you. I will rescue you from the people and from the Gentiles. I now send you to them to open their eyes so they may turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God, that by faith in Me they may receive forgiveness of sins and a share among those who are sanctified.’ (Acts 26:12-18)

Up until that point, the message of the Good News was primarily focused on the Jewish people. Paul was called to be an Apostle to the Gentiles. From Adam to the call of Abraham, all the people of the earth were Gentiles. Abraham was the first Hebrew. His grandson Jacob, whose name was changed to Israel (Gen 32:24-26), had twelve sons. They became the heads of twelve tribes, known as the “Twelve Tribes of Israel.” The word “Gentiles” means “nations”- a term used by the Israelites to denote all foreign (non-Israelite) peoples.

The Lord used this dramatic close encounter in order to extend His invitation into the Kingdom of Heaven to all of the non-Jewish people. Every time Paul refers to himself as an apostle in his writings, he is reminding his audience of his God-given authority to the Gentiles. He is very conscious of his particular calling:

paul writing

Nevertheless, I have written to remind you more boldly on some points because of the grace given me by God to be a minister of Christ Jesus to the Gentiles, serving as a priest of God’s good news. My purpose is that the offering of the Gentiles may be acceptable, sanctified by the Holy Spirit. Therefore I have reason to boast in Christ Jesus regarding what pertains to God. For I would not dare say anything except what Christ has accomplished through me to make the Gentiles obedient by word and deed… (Romans 15:15-18)

Paul’s message was of the grace of simply believing in Jesus as the Christ, in order to be saved. His ministry marked the transition from following the law of Moses (being a Jew) to just accepting the Good News:

good-news-of-jesus

For this reason, I, Paul, the prisoner of Christ Jesus on behalf of you Gentiles— you have heard, haven’t you, about the administration of God’s grace that He gave to me for you? The mystery was made known to me by revelation, as I have briefly written above. By reading this you are able to understand my insight about the mystery of the Messiah. This was not made known to people in other generations as it is now revealed to His holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit: The Gentiles are coheirs, members of the same body, and partners of the promise in Christ Jesus through the gospel. (Ephesians 3:1-6)

bodyofchrist

This transition was foretold by Jesus in His example of the king and the wedding banquet:

Jesus spoke to them again in parables, saying: “The kingdom of heaven is like a king who prepared a wedding banquet for his son. He sent his servants to those who had been invited to the banquet to tell them to come, but they refused to come.

“Then he sent some more servants and said, ‘Tell those who have been invited that I have prepared my dinner: My oxen and fattened cattle have been butchered, and everything is ready. Come to the wedding banquet.’

“But they paid no attention and went off-one to his field, another to his business. The rest seized his servants, mistreated them and killed them. The king was enraged. He sent his army and destroyed those murderers and burned their city.

“Then he said to his servants, ‘The wedding banquet is ready, but those I invited did not deserve to come. So go to the street corners and invite to the banquet anyone you find.’ So the servants went out into the streets and gathered all the people they could find, the bad as well as the good, and the wedding hall was filled with guests. (Matthew 22:1-10)

The wedding banquet is ready

Because the Jews rejected Him, the wedding invitation is extended to anyone and everyone, total strangers, both good and bad. This refers to the gospel being taken to the Gentiles.

The following Sabbath almost the whole town assembled to hear the message of the Lord. But when the Jews saw the crowds, they were filled with jealousy and began to oppose what Paul was saying by insulting him.

Then Paul and Barnabas boldly said: “It was necessary that God’s message be spoken to you first. But since you reject it and consider yourselves unworthy of eternal life, we now turn to the Gentiles! For this is what the Lord has commanded us:

I have made you
a light for the Gentiles
to bring salvation
to the ends of the earth.”

When the Gentiles heard this, they rejoiced and glorified the message of the Lord, and all who had been appointed to eternal life believed. So the message of the Lord spread through the whole region. (Acts 13:44-49)

The final harvest of the gentile nations at the Tribulation Rapture is perfectly described by John:

After this I looked, and there was a vast multitude from every nation, tribe, people, and language, which no one could number, standing before the throne and before the Lamb. They were robed in white with palm branches in their hands. And they cried out in a loud voice:

Salvation belongs to our God,
who is seated on the throne,
and to the Lamb!

They were robed in white with palm branches in their hands

All the angels stood around the throne, the elders, and the four living creatures, and they fell facedown before the throne and worshiped God, saying:

Amen! Blessing and glory and wisdom
and thanksgiving and honor
and power and strength
be to our God forever and ever. Amen.

Then one of the elders asked me, “Who are these people robed in white, and where did they come from?”

I said to him, “Sir, you know.”

Then he told me:

These are the ones coming out of the great tribulation.
They washed their robes and made them white
in the blood of the Lamb.
For this reason they are before the throne of God,
and they serve Him day and night in His sanctuary.
The One seated on the throne will shelter[d] them:
They will no longer hunger;
they will no longer thirst;
the sun will no longer strike them,
nor will any heat.
For the Lamb who is at the center of the throne
will shepherd them;
He will guide them to springs of living waters,
and God will wipe away every tear from their eyes. (Revelation 7:9-17)

He will guide them to springs of living waters

Our Turning Point

This is my Bible. It is 50 years old.

Donna-Bible

It’s been read and studied. All the pages are still there but held together with tape. The Words have been prayed over many situations including wars, diseases, dangers and harm for peoples, animals, property, lands, oceans, continents, our world and universe and many outcomes were changed through proclaiming the Word and faithful Prayer. Many healings, deliverances, salvations and infilling of Father God’s beautifully created children and creatures occurred due to Faith in the Word of God.

Wisdom, Knowledge and Understanding were gained through reading and studying this wonder-full Manual for Life!!! Along with it comes Council, Power and Might and a sincere Fear of our God, with Righteousness. It is the only Book in this Universe that is fully alive! It makes announcements and Proclaims Promises and Judgements, tells us of heaven and hell. The Bible speaks loudly of the sin of man and the redemption of man that can be obtained through accepting Jesus Christ, who came to earth as an infant and grew in stature in His Father’s Plans. He was anointed and appointed to suffer, was crucified by the shedding of His Precious Blood, buried, raised and visited the people. Jesus told them He will return soon. He then ascended to Heaven and is seated at the Right Hand of the Father! Jesus is our Savior and Intercessor!!! AND HE WILL RETURN SOON!!!

This is true of everyone who holds, uses the Word of God in Faith and trust and believes in salvation and deliverance through the Blood of Jesus and walks towards truth and the Light. Amen!

.

This is what the Lord says to you today:

The unfolding and Transformation of My people from strength to Strength! I AM the God of Promise, of Love, of Joy–I bring this to those who stand in Faith—-Faith in My Love for them and My creation. Many have interceded for My will to be done. I have Never been defeated!!! I have Never lost!!! With Me and in Me there shall be great success. ..great joy..great praise And thanksgiving as they shall see My hand deliver!!! Thank and Praise Me Now as it is coming and Shall arrive and surprise! Yet, it should not of come as a surprise because I told you so in My Word and I have whispered it in the ears of My prophets! Your eyes will see what I have done!!!

.

If you are not sure that you are saved, you can accept Christ into your life right now, by praying:

“Lord Jesus, I believe you are the Son of God. Thank you for dying on the cross for my sins.  Please forgive my sins and give me the gift of eternal life.  I ask you in to my life and heart to be my Lord and Savior.”
